Sometimes life can be hard for a chicken. Yes, chooks are icons of ‘the simple life,‘ which is true, we spend most of our day just eating, pooing and clucking around but often we are also met with hostility. Weird, we know, we’re so fluffy and mean to cause no harm, and most people see this beauty in us. But when we go to the city and start trying to enter buildings, often the love is quickly lost (come to think of it, maybe it is because we shit everywhere, never really thought of that) and we are promptly shown the exit (before things get messy). So it was a nice change when we were invited to speak at the launch of PlanBig.com.au and not only were we made to feel welcome, but us chooks were V.I.P (or, V.I.C), special guests and as it turned out (not much of a surprise to us) the stars of the show.
PlanBig chose us to speak, because, well, as you know, our plan is chucking amazing. PlanBig is a Bendigo and Adelaide Bank initiative, so some serious things had to be said by Mike Hurst (Bendigo Bank General Manager) and Jeanette Miller (PlanBig founder). Steve Monaghetti, or as we affectionately know him ‘Mon-dog,‘ then introduced his plan and warmed the crowd for the main event.
It took all of 0.02 of a second for me (Hot Box) to own the floor and getting some early laughs the boys were then set to talk about the egg of one world. The boys probably talked for a little too long I thought, cos all the people really care about is us chooks, but they’re pretty knew to all of this, so we’ll forgive them this time.
