Cathy’s in the frame for charity

She may have been retired from running, but expectant mum Cathy freeman is back in a strict routine as she battles to stay healthy for her growing baby.
With her precious bundle in August, this Olympic champion yesterday told of her motivation to keep diabetes at bay.
Freeman is battling type 2 diabetes, triggered by the pregnancy.
“I manage it, I keep a close watch on it,” she said.
“I’m really aware of my body and maintaining it.”
Freeman is dedicating her spare time to charity work and recently posed for a portrait y Archibald Prize winner Craig Ruddy.
It was painted for three Melbourne men who are socking to raise $1million for charity by trading up __ a chicken’s egg.
Freeman, Ruddy and the group called 1egg1world were at the Scott Livesty Gallery yesterday for the unveiling of the portrait.
The group is awaiting offers on a trade for the portrait.
